Somewhere I and II..., 2018-2019

This work comes in two versions: Somewhere I... 2018  was a sculpture and a video piece which consists of an oil painting, LCD light, Perspex shield. Somewhere II... 2019 is an oil painting,  100x100cm.

In some parts of the world, people do not see rainbows as often as they used to. Those places tend to be urbanised and highly polluted. The significant drop in rainbow appearance is not due to the weather changing, or the impact of global warming. The main reason is air pollution. The rainbows happen and exist; they are just not visible due to the dust particles in the polluted air.
